Books and E-Books
Search tips:
- Try keywords like: hairdressing, hairstyles, beauty shops, cosmetics industry.
- Don't use the search term "cosmetology" -- it won’t bring up anything.
- Do a subject search for “beauty” and look for related or narrower terms.
- Search broad keywords because you’re not searching the entire content of the e-book yet.
- In the Library Catalog, to find only Ebooks: narrow your search results by clicking on format > electronic.
- Log in to ebooks with the same information you use for school email.
Examples of ebooks and books you'll find in the Library Catalog:
- Black, P. (2004). The beauty industry: gender, culture, pleasure. Array London: Routledge. Retrieved from NetLibrary.
- Sherrow, V. (2006). Encyclopedia of hair: a cultural history. Westport, Conn.: Greenwood Press. Retrieved from Greenwood Digital Collection.
