This guide will help you get started with your research. The library can help you every step of the way.
Research Process:
- Make sure you understand the assignment and set a timeline for completing it. The Research Project Calculator can help you stay on track.
- Choose a topic and do some exploratory research (explore the topic)
- Create a Working Bibliography
- Create a Research Question - what do you want to know based on what you learned in step 2?
- Tentative Thesis - what is your best guess to the research question?
- Focused Research - find information to fill out your thesis.
