Choosing a Topic

Tips:

  • Choose a topic that interests you so you'll have more fun!
  • If you're unsure if your topic meets the criteria of the assignment, be sure to ask your instructor.
  • Look for topic ideas in your textbook, encyclopedias, and Wikipedia. These sources will often provide you with an overview on a subject. That way you'll already have a general understanding of the topic when you start to do your focused research.
  • Look up words you don't understand in a dictionary.
