Help Finding and Using Ebooks
Ebooks are books that can be viewed completely online. Some are available for download.
- Students from all Globe Education Network schools can find ebooks by searching the Library Catalog. After you search, Click the "ebooks" check box on the left.
- Learn how to find ebooks in this short video.
- Additional business and information technology books are available by searching Books 24x7.
- There are ebooks and ebook chapters also available in many of the library databases. You can browse an A-Z list of the library's databases or search a database by topic.
- Find a dictionary.
- Find an encyclopedia.
Research Tip: Search broad keywords and use trial-and-error because (in many cases) you're not searching the entire content of the e-book yet.

How to use your ebook reader or mobile device for ebooks
First, find an ebook in one of two ways: in the Library Catalog or in Books 24x7.
If you're using Books 24x7, please click here. If you're using the Library Catalog, read the instructions below.
In the Library Catalog, you'll find ebooks from many different vendors (NetLibrary, Ebrary, EBL, ABC-CLIO, CREDO Reference, Gale Virtual Reference Library, and Sage Reference). All of the ebooks are available for viewing online if your mobile device or ebook reader has a browser and web access. The only vendor that will allow you to download a book for offline viewing is EBL. The downloaded books in EBL are compatible with any ebook reader or mobile device that uses Adobe Digital Editions. Find EBL books without searching the Library Catalog.
