Research Tips for International Students
Welcome to the Globe Education Network Libraries. If English is not your native language, this guide is designed for you.
Articles and Databases
Many library databases offer translations. Please ask your librarian for help with specific databases.
Try LexisNexis Academic database for world news. Type your search term(s) into the field, uncheck the box next to Major U.S. and World Publications, check the box next to Major World Publications (non-English), specify a date if desired, and click on the search button.
Books
We have books on English grammar and usage available in the library. Please ask a librarian to show them to you or search the library catalog.
There are also resources for finding scholarships. Look for The College Board Scholarship Handbook (378 COL) and How to Find a Scholarship Online (e-book accessible through the library catalog).
