How to Find Scholarly Sources?

Scholarly sources have certain characteristics. You can use these characteristics to decide if the sources you find are scholarly or not.How do I find scholarly sources?

Also, many library databases have a checkbox or a tab that can help you narrow your results to only those that are scholarly.

Here are examples from EBSCO, Gale, and ProQuest.

They each have buttons:
